Our Services
Legacy Design — NEW
This pecialized design service is close to our heart — a dedicated approach to honoring transitioning seniors as they move out of their 'forever homes' and into their new chapter of independent or assisted living. We believe it is profound and important to ensure someone's 'last' home is not only beautiful, but comfortable, convenient and safe. We will work together to decide what pieces make the cut, manage what is left behind, and map out how your treasures fit into a new space.
We can also assist in accessibility makeovers including larger transitions for in-home care such as turning a first floor Living Room into a Bedroom, renovating bathrooms for aging in place and much more.
Single Room Makeovers
You may have only one or two rooms to transform. And that's just fine! LWD will tackle this with the same gusto as a whole house — concepting, floor plans… all the way to installation. It is not unusual for Clients to address just a handful of rooms at a time (for time, budget or sanity reasons).
Construction / Architectural Services
From new builds to renovations, LWD should ideally be there at project inception so the team (architects, contractors and the Client) can define the vision and 'wish list' items together. LWD generally plays consultant on the architectural element and takes the lead on all interior furnishings/finishes.
Kitchen / Bath Renovations
These are the most used spaces in the home — and generally the most complicated! LWD will help you imagine the possibilities, sort thru the different options, and educate you on what's out there.
DIY Consultations
Sometimes Clients tackle a project on their own and eventually find themselves overwhelmed or stuck and just need a little professional help. For a fixed fee, LWD will meet one-on-one in your home — or even virtually — to answer questions, suggest new ideas and provide some expert direction. These sessions are a minimum of 90 minutes.
Second Homes
Our Clients' second homes tend to be completely different from their everyday house — they turn up the fun and explore ideas they would never consider in their daily life. While most of these projects are destination sites, distance is never a barrier to our process. We are deeply familiar with navigating the logistics of remote management and ensuring our vision translates perfectly.
