This new office space for architects Design Studio 24 and construction arm DCS Midwest could not be corporate and boring. Inspired by this textbook 1969 Executive Office Building, we approached this with a “Mad Men” concept blending mid century, art deco and modern styles via vintage furnishings, funky light fixtures and wild wallpaper. A full bar (salvaged from “some old bar in Chicago”), shuffleboard and pool table were must-haves ….because who doesn’t want to have some fun at work?
